Storm Surge

One of the "cat lady's" neighbors, who had also stayed through the storm told me that the water didn't come in one big wave. Instead it was a series of them. The first was maybe 3 feet high. It picked up anything not nailed down and carried it back out. The next was maybe 5 feet high and now carried debris that broke doors and windows and picked up more stuff. By the time the10 foot wave came in it was armed with refridgerators and cars and the like. That's when the houses started to come apart. The last wave was nearly 30 feet high and nearly solid with debris.
